Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.

  • Manage database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and ensure alignment with RTO/RPO objectives.

  • Perform database patching, upgrades, and cloning while minimizing downtime.

  • Tune database performance using AWR reports, OEM, and in-depth SQL/PLSQL optimization.

  • Configure and maintain ASM (Automatic Storage Management) and Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.

  • Ensure database security, access controls, and auditing in compliance with organizational standards.

  • Support Oracle RAC environments and, where applicable, manage Oracle Exadata infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and improve database performance.

  • Maintain documentation of database configurations, standards, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3–5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.

  • Strong expertise in:

    • PL/SQL development and tuning

    • RMAN, ASM, Data Guard

    • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

    • AWR and ADDM analysis

Preferred Certifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Database Administration

  • Other Oracle Cloud or advanced certifications are a plus

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters).

  • Familiarity with Oracle Exadata and engineered systems.

  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other hybrid/cloud deployments.

  • Knowledge of ITIL-based change and incident management processes.
