Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (focus on data protection, privacy, or tech law preferred).
Strong knowledge of the EU GDPR and its practical application.
Certification in data protection (CIPP/E) is a plus.
Experience in a legal or compliance role within a tech company, law firm, or consultancy.
Previous DPO experience or support in a similar capacity.
Experience delivering GDPR training to technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with software development processes and cloud infrastructure.
Strong English communication skills (Arabic is an advantage).
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work cross-functionally.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice on GDPR and privacy matters.
Act as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for internal teams and clients.
Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
Integrate “Privacy by Design” principles into product development.
Monitor and report on privacy compliance and risk.
Design and deliver GDPR training for software developers and technical teams.
Translate legal concepts into actionable technical guidance.
Develop training materials (e.g., presentations, e-learning, workshops).
Support GDPR onboarding and ongoing staff training.
Collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams on data protection compliance.
Advise on international data transfers and vendor agreements.
